It’s Memorial Day weekend, and what better way to kick off the holiday with a fun and easy flag DIY.before and after.
Things you’ll need for this project.
- About 1qt of boiling hot water
- 5-6 black tea bags
- A shallow glass baking dish
- Mini American flags
First you’ll want to make your tea. That’s where the hot water, and tea bags come in.
Next you’ll place the flags in the baking dish and pour the brewed tea over the flags. Make sure the flags are fully submerged.
Let the flags sit in the dish for about 20-30 minutes. Once they are done soaking rinse the flags off and set upright in a cup to dry. Be sure to place an old towel or paper-towel down under the drying flags to catch any drippings. I ended up setting mine outside and they were dry in 15 minuets.
